SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES IN KENYA

For ITL Safaris, it’s not all business. We believe in holding up those around us who need a helping hand. That’s why we are proud to be a part of several community service projects and legacy impact activities.

Supporting children and the elderly with St. Anna Care Centre

We partner with St Anna Care Centre; a local faith-based organization that was founded in 1994 by the retired Bishop John Mahiaini and his late wife Abyshag. Their dream? To care for the elderly and provide quality basic education to orphans and vulnerable children in their community.

We support the Centre organize luncheons for the elderly with wholesome fellowships, a warm meal and even physical exercise! As well as run a school with a student population of 335 children with over 97 children sponsored in other post primary institutions across the country.

In the same breath, we partner with St Anna to put families on the road of self-sufficiency through the donate a goat initiative. We believe that a gift of a goat is a huge blessing for a family and can in extension make a lasting impact in their community.

Walking with a local children’s home

ITL Safaris has been proudly supporting a local children’s’ home in Kibera slums- Nairobi with the basic needs and other necessities since 2008 and at the same time sponsoring a few brilliant children through their education. The Springs of Life Children’s Restoration Centre was founded in 2000 by Bishop. Dr. Paul Mbithi and Rev. Grace Mbithi as a response to the high prevalence of orphaned and vulnerable children. The Centre is proud to mention that over 110 beneficiaries have successfully gone through them with most of them coming back to offer their support in one way or the other.

Booking with us means supporting a community in need.

Planting the Seeds of Sustainable Tourism

At ITL Safaris, we are committed to promoting sustainable tourism by actively contributing to environmental conservation and community well-being. As part of our ongoing initiatives, we proudly engage in an annual tree-planting event at St. Anna Care Center in Murang'a. This effort not only helps combat deforestation and mitigate climate change but also fosters a stronger connection between visitors and the local community. By participating in our tree-planting activities, travelers can leave a lasting positive impact on the region, making their travel experiences more meaningful and sustainable.
